3 Blogging Tips For Business

More and more business establishments are using blog sites to advertise their business, which is why they want to learn more about the secret blogging tips for business. However, one must realize that in any advertising campaign, one’s creativity and knowledge of the market are the most important things. But if you are still just planning to create a blog to promote your business then it is necessary that you know a few tricks so that more people will find your blog a joy to read.

Tip #1 – The success of a blog is highly dependent on the choice of keywords that is why most of the blogging tips for business are focused on the keywords. Firstly, you must create a post using the keywords that you think people will type on the different search engines if they want to search on something. This will increase the chances that your blog post will be viewed more often. It is important that you know your niche so that you will have an idea as what your market will most likely search on. Furthermore, you should never create your own words because the chances that your blog will be discovered with an unknown keyword will be virtually hopeless.

Tip #2 – Make your blog post reflect your personality so that the people will be able to relate to you. Tell something about yourself so that your audience will know more about you and you can slowly build your credibility. Never make your blog look like you wee sent by a certain company to promote their business. Establish your credibility first before you blatantly advertise a certain product.

Tip #3 – Give out something for your audience without asking for anything in return. Make you blog as informative as possible without turning into an academic site. However you can also ask your readers to give some feedback, comments, or suggestions about how you can help them better.

The success of blogging tips for business is highly dependent on the response of the readers so make sure that you capture their interests at the very start.

Business Christmas Cards – The Nightmare Before Christmas

Picture our entrepreneur as she waits in eager anticipation for the sound of the postman’s laboured breathing pulling a sack to her door. That postal struggle signals a bag bursting with cheery festive business greetings from almost every business she’s ever dealt with. By return the entrepreneur sends out her own sackful of business Christmas cards with the Cheery Santa joke, the serious Christmas message or the politically correct card “for use in a celebrational context.”

Like you I’ve had them all. Have you had cards with messages like these?

  • it was great to do business with you. How about more in the New Year?
  • Make this New Year our best ever, together
  • Just to wish Yuletide Greetings/Happy Christmas/Happy Xmas
  • From one winning team to another

Even cards with no message or signature.

Perhaps the cards were signed by the MD, the “whole team”, the MD’s secretary or the office junior. Or maybe the signature was pre-printed with the message on the card.

Are You Sending Cards That Are Meaningless? Why send cards that mean nothing? It’s not going to get us any more business. To some businesses greeting cards are the nightmare before Christmas. The perception is that cards are just a chore almost every business does around end of November/ start of December every year.

And yet when you communicate at Christmas time it’s that period of peace and goodwill to all men. People are looking forward to Christmas and often people are more relaxed and better disposed to others.

Are We Right To Send Out Stacks of Christmas Cards?

I’ll be looking at that answer in part two of this post series and then going onto to giving some steps to a better way of talking to your customers at Christmas. Or any other holiday for that matter!
